MAIN FEATURES AND PURPOSES OF K TYPE Thermocouple Wire
NiCr-NiSi( K type) Thermocouple wire is used widely in all basemetal thermocouple, at temperature above 500ºC. the main chemical composition of positive leg NiCR(KP) are Ni(about 90%) and Cr(about 10%), the negative leg NiSi(KN) is NI(about 97%) and Cr(about 3%). The operating temperature range is 200-1300°C ( for short time) and 0-1100°C( for long time).
K type thermocouple has strong resistance to oxidation than other basemetal thermocouple wire. it has high EMF against platinum67. excellent temperature accuracy. sensitivity and stability and lower cost.
